Rowan James is a systems-minded designer first — obsessed with organization, planning, and how a space actually functions for the people living in it — and a lover of beautiful materials, colour, and finishes second. The result is a home that's both a joy to look at and effortless to live in.

Originally from New Zealand, Rowan has called Montréal home since 2010. Before founding Rowan James Design, he worked as creative partner and studio manager alongside artist Renée Condo.

His eye for how spaces should feel is shaped by years of travel through Asia and beyond, and a lifelong practice of yoga, meditation, and martial arts — disciplines built on paying attention to the details most people miss.
